Wireless keyboard: freedom from wires
A wireless keyboard, unlike a normal computer keyboard, can enter data into a computer by the use of infrared beams. Such a keyboard comes as a great relief for those who feel uncomfortable sitting close to the monitor for long, or who find it irritating to organize so many tangled wires behind the computer. When you type on a wireless keyboard, a beam of information moves from it to a receiver which is plugged into the computer. This eliminates the need for using cumbersome wires. A wireless mouse can also be used with a wireless keyboard.
By the use of wireless technology, it is possible to place your wireless keyboard or mouse in a position that is beyond the reach of the normal corded-versions. However, it must be remembered that the infrared keyboard receiver should be placed in such a position that can be easily reached by the infrared beam. As this distance is different in different models, it is sensible to check specifications before you buy a wireless computer keyboard. Take care to point the keyboard in the general direction of the receiver. In case the line-of-sight between the keyboard and receiver is blocked, the signal won’t be transmitted to the computer.
If you can ensure that the space between your wireless keyboard and receiver remains more or less clutter free, a wireless keyboard can prove to be extremely convenient for you. A wireless keyboard, in addition to providing more flexibility in the way you run your computer system, will also unshackle you from cumbersome wires and cables.
